BBQ Pork Ribs
17/11/2023Here’s how to prepare irresistible BBQ pork ribs:
Ingredients
- 1 kg of pork ribs
- 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 200 ml of ketchup
- 50 ml of apple cider vinegar
- 50 g of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Smoked paprika as needed
- Black pepper as needed
- Salt as needed
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 150 °C.

In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients for the rub: paprika, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Apply the rub on both sides of the ribs, rubbing well.

Wrap the ribs in a double layer of aluminum foil to seal them and place them in a baking dish.

Bake in the oven for about 2 and a half hours or until they are very tender.

While the ribs are in the oven, prepare the BBQ sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a saucepan: ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, honey, and adjust with smoked paprika, pepper, and salt to taste.

Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes until it has thickened slightly.

Once cooked and tender, remove the ribs from the oven and take off the aluminum foil.

Increase the oven temperature to 200 °C and brush the ribs with plenty of BBQ sauce on both sides.

Put the ribs back in the oven and let them caramelize for 10-15 minutes, adding another layer of sauce if desired.
