Apple Fritters

Apple fritters are a simple and tasty dessert that can be prepared quickly. Here is the recipe for Italian-style apple fritters.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples
  • 200 g of flour
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 ml of milk
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish)
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Peel the apples and remove the core, then slice them not too thinly.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy.
  3. Add the flour sifted with the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps, until a smooth batter is obtained.
  5. Dip the apple slices into the batter, making sure they are completely coated.
  6. Heat plenty of oil in a pan and when it is hot, fry the apple slices dipped in the batter, turning them once to brown on both sides.
  7. Once the fritters are golden and crispy, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar to taste.
