Ingredients
- 200 g of all-purpose flour
- 100 g of almond flour
- 150 g of brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g of melted butter
- 3 apples
- 2 carrots
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
- Powdered sugar (for decorating)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Peel and grate the carrots. Peel the apples and cut them into cubes or thin slices, according to your preference.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the brown sugar until you have a frothy and light mixture.
- Gradually add the melted butter, continuing to mix.
- Then fold in the sifted flour with the baking powder, almond flour, and a pinch of salt, mixing gently to avoid deflating the batter.
- Add the grated carrots and apple pieces to the mixture, and if you like, the cinnamon. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan or lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
